Event Coordinator & Marketing Assistant (Full time – Remote)

Roof Tech Inc. is searching for a full-time Event Coordinator & Marketing Assistant to support the renewable energy company’s efforts in North America. The ideal candidate would be comfortable with both event coordination and marketing strategies in a technical environment. Also supporting the Marketing Manager and other marketing activities.

Event Coordinator & Marketing Assistant Job Responsibilities:

  • Event planning and organization by identifying, assembling, and coordinating requirements, establishing contacts, developing schedules and assignments, and coordinating mailing lists
  • Photographing and videoing of tradeshows and event activity for social media and future event planning.
  • Social media management by commenting, liking, and sharing to promote us being active in the renewable energy industry
  • Maintenance of promotional materials for trade shows, and sales team events
  • Research and development in promotional items. Comparing pricing, quality, and quantity based on event needs
  • Inventory management of tradeshow/marketing and promotional items
  • Research and development on new tradeshows and creation of ROI for company to attend
  • Make travel arrangements for sales team and keep all details organized
  • Monitor tradeshow budget by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts
  • Continually increasing industry knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading trade publications
  • Find and contribute to PR opportunities to promote the company

Experience Requirements:

  • Solid knowledge of event planning and coordinating
  • Experience in administering organization social channels
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Organizational and time-management skills
  • Enthusiastic approach to work and strong desire for a collaborative work environment
  • Ability to assist the Marketing Manager in creating marketing content and social media collaboration
  • Understanding brand awareness and recognition
  • Networking skills, knowledge of the company you represent when networking at events
  • Public speaking skills
  • Time management skills, understanding and sticking to deadlines
  • Must be motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively, as well as work independently and as a team
  • Proven working experience in event coordination
  • Demonstrated experience in event planning and social media marketing
  • Ability to grasp moderately technical product information
  • Light graphic design (Adobe Suite, Canva, or other graphic design software)
  • Budget planning
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time

Education Preferences:

  • An Associates or bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field
  • at least two years’ marketing and event coordination

Pay: $36,000-$40,000 per year
