Meet the Roof Tech Team

Kevin Shimokobe has over 30 years of experience as a global business executive and a passion for Renewable Energy and International Trade. Kevin currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Roof Tech Inc. When Yanegiken decided to create a US subsidiary in 2012, he assisted in the initial setup. Kevin has returned to guide Roof Tech Inc. as we have grown substantially since 2018. Kevin was born in Japan and has a Degree in International Political Science and Economics. He speaks English, Spanish, and native Japanese.

Guy has been involved in the renewable energy field since 2006 and joined the Roof Tech team in 2020. As he claimed, “I may be the new kid on the block, but I know my solar!” Guy was clear when asked about why he chose Roof Tech. “This company is making a big difference in the world, and we work together like one big family,” he said. “Our proprietary flashing method is the very best and we do more for our customers that anyone else in this market.”

Ryan Williams joined in 2024 with two decades of experience working in the renewable energy sector including, over a decade of residential, commercial/utility-scale PV installation, SCADA Function, Support, O&M management, commissioning, and quality control experience that extends along the eastern coast. This includes several years of Roof Tech product installations leading him to seek a career helping in the support and advancements of our product."With the proven performance and reliability of Roof Tech's flexible flashing, my passion is to see these products become the solar industry standard," Ryan says.

David Waters brings over 36 years of sales experience, with a background in manufacturing, distribution, and the solar industry. He has held leadership roles as a Regional Sales Manager and Branch Manager, developing a strong understanding of distribution networks, supply chains, and the full lifecycle of solar products.   Before transitioning into solar, David spent 12 years in residential roofing, giving him a practical foundation that continues to shape his work today.Known for his strong work ethic and commitment to customer service, David focuses on building long-term relationships and delivering consistent support.

Sehrish comes from a fashion retail background with over 5 years of red carpet and digital styling experience. As the harsh reality of the effects of fashion on the environment started to become more apparent and undeniable, she had a change of heart. She decided to dedicate her time to companies more aligned with her values of sustainability and giving back. When asked why Sehrish joined Roof Tech, she said, “I want to be part of the solution. With global warming only getting worse and natural disasters getting more frequent and more violent, I believe Roof Tech's solution can be instrumental for a greener, safer future.

Yukiko Sabio started in the fashion industry doing sales data analysis and PR. After that, she joined the health and food industry and worked as an export & import sales assistant. When asked why she decided to join Roof Tech, she replied, "I've always wanted to join an environment-friendly company, and Roof-tech was just that." Yukiko is our primary customer support contact, and we rely on her to forecast the demand for our solar mounting solutions.

Mariko Horike supports the backend of our overall logistics as part of our Administrative team. Mariko previously worked in the procurement business but has a background in administration, marketing, AR, and secretarial work. Her support to all Roof Tech departments creates accurate and timely environment automation. Mariko likes to find the best solution for our customers, vendors, and team members to create a balanced work environment. Also, helping grow the solar industry is a bonus in her career life.

Ronald Webb has multiple years of experience working his way up through the finance departments for companies within the manufacturing and medical fields such as West Fraser Lumber, CCL Label, Baptist Memorial Hospital, and Pfizer. Ron received his bachelor's degree in Finance from the University of Memphis in 2016 and received his MBA in 2017. He specializes in budgeting, financial analysis, and forecasting. Ron joined Roof Tech as the Account Manager in May of 2022. "I see great things for Roof Tech's future in the solar industry, and I am ecstatic to help this company continue to move forward!"
