A Successful Demonstration of Roof Tech’s RT-APEX Rail-less System at MREA’s 31st Annual Energy Fair

The Roof Tech team recently traveled to The 31st Annual Energy Fair, sponsored by the Midwest Renewable Energy Association (MREA), in beautiful Custer, Wisconsin. This was the first year back for the Fair since COVID-19 derailed plans in 2020 and 2021, and the excitement in the air was palpable.
For three days this past weekend, in sunshine and rain, MREA inspired fairgoers to think about clean energy with vendor booths, presentations, speeches, workshops, food and drink, and musical acts. There was even camping right at the fairgrounds for the extremely dedicated attendees.
Roof Tech Inc. was a Kilowatt sponsor at the Energy Fair this year. Mike Dunlap, Roof Tech’s General Manager, presented a workshop on Friday entitled “PV Mounting with Roof Tech’s AlphaSeal™” and offered a continuing education credit for NABCEP. Mike discussed Roof Tech’s 50-plus-year history in roofing technologies and PV mounting systems.
Saturday morning brought the Roof Tech team together to do an install of our RT-APEX on MREA’s training roof. The RT-APEX is a self-flashing rail-less PV mounting system featuring Roof Tech’s AlphaSeal™ Technology. Guy, Matthias, Ken, and Rob installed ten solar panels on the training roof in just over an hour. At the same time, Mike took questions from a very engaged audience showcasing the simplicity and ease of rail-less installations.
On Saturday night, Roof Tech sponsored the Career Fair Happy Hour to network with companies in clean energy fields and job seekers alike. All enjoyed good conversations, great networking, and delicious beverages. After talking and networking with fairgoers and vendors, it’s clear that the future looks bright for clean energy.
